Volunteers needed

Adult Volunteers

Up to 400 volunteers are needed who will give up their morning on Sunday 5 September 2010 during the Bristol half marathon.

Volunteers must be aged over 18 – and will need to attend a briefing session at 8 am on the morning of the race.

Marshalling the route, keeping access points clear, helping and directing spectators to view points and handing out bottles of water, medals and goodie bags to runners are some of the many tasks volunteers are asked to cover. If you think you can spare a few hours and would like to be involved in Bristol’s biggest sporting event then please contact:
Gemma Jones on 0117 311 2607 or email: run@clicsargent.org.uk
Wenda Hillier on tel. 0117 915 9300 or email bristolhalfmarathon@stpetershospice.org

The Bristol Half Marathon attracts tens of thousands of spectators and thanks to its official charities, the race helps to raise hundreds of thousands of pounds. For more information about the work of our official race charities for 2010: CLIC Sargent, St Peter’s Hospice and international children’s charity, COCO see the Charity Pages on this site.

Young Volunteers

Race organisers at Bristol City Council are also interested to hear from organised groups including younger people under 18 – so if this applies to you please contact them via FRsystems on 01782 396113 or email bristol@frsystems.co.uk.
