2009 Bristol half marathon prize List

The prize list includes top awards of £1,000 for winners of the Open race and also winners of the British categories.

With the race acting as the British team trials for the World half marathon in Birmingham, the added incentive of an additional £1,000 time bonus award will be made to elite British athletes (Men sub 62, Women Sub 70).

Other prize categories include Wheelchair athletes, Under 23, Veteran, Local and Club Team awards.

Rules:

• Runners will only be awarded a maximum of 2 prizes from a combination of the following categories: Open, British, U23 and Local list. Runners can only win from one vet category. For example a runner can win a prize in the Open and British categories or British and Local categories or Local and a vet category. In addition they can win a prize in one Team event.

• Awards in the British category take precedence over awards in the Local category.

• ‘British’ refers to British Passport holders. The organisers reserve the right to request proof of nationality.

• ‘Local’ refers to runners whose postcode (as indicated on their application form) falls within the postcode areas BS1 to BS16. The organisers reserve the right to request proof of residence.

• Awards in the Club Team category apply to UKA or affiliated clubs or associations and will be awarded in addition to those in the Open, British and Local list.

• Participants in the Business Challenge are also eligible for prizes in the main race.

• Wheelchair prizes will be awarded in the male and female fields on the following basis:

If 2 male or 2 female athletes take part a trophy will be awarded acknowledging first place.

If 3 – 5 male or 3 – 5 female athletes take part the race will offer a winner and runner up prize. Winner £200, Runner up £100.

If 6 or more male or female athletes take part we will offer 1st, 2nd, 3rd prizes. £200 first place, £100 second place, £50 third place
