Welcome to the second training camp for runbristol 2009
The weekend camp is aimed at helping runners of all abilities learn more about how to prepare for the Bristol half marathon and reach their own personal targets.
Taking part in the training weekend means you’ll benefit from meeting other runners and have quality contact with a RunBristol coach.

Day 1: Saturday 18th July
Times: 10am – 4pm
Topics covered:
· The best training for half marathon running
· Threshold running for brilliant half marathon performance
· Practical, coached workout that caters for all levels of ability and experience
· How to build your training plan
· How to get it right in the final weeks before the race
· What to do on race day – advice from race director
Day 2: Sunday 19th July
Times: 10am – 4pm
Topics covered:
· Making the most of your long run
· Guided, supported and coached practical long run (suitable for all abilities!)
· The correct kit for running longer
· Staying injury free for half marathon training
· Planning your training
· Q&A with coaches
Reserve your place
Registration fee: £10.00 per day
Buffet Lunch (optional): £6.00 per day
(Participants may bring their own lunch)

Runners can attend one or both days. The camps and are suitable for all levels – from the totally unsure novice through to the more experienced campaigner.
Runners need to bring clothing and kit suitable for practical and theory sessions.

The coaching team
Nick Anderson: Nick was a P.E teacher & Head of Athletics at Winchester College and former international runner. He has been coaching since 1994 and a UKA endurance and cross-country coach. Nick is a regular contributor to Runners World and has a wealth of experience in coaching and racing for all levels of runner.
Martin Yelling: As a coach he is passionate about helping people of all abilities get more from their running. Martin has a PhD in physical activity promotion in young people and has worked in the education departments at Loughborough and DeMontfort Universities. Martin writes regular health, fitness, lifestyle, training and coaching articles for many magazines, including Running fitness, Enjoy your Bike, Marathon News, UK Sport Coachwise and Running Free.
Bud Baldaro: Always ready to share his experience and advice with runners of all abilities – Bud is the coaching face of runbristol. His reputation as a top UKA coach is well known – he has been a Great Britain coach for the marathon and cross country and mentored many of our former top Olympians and greats.
Other qualified coaches will be on hand to make your weekend informative, rewarding and enjoyable.
