Are you fit to RUNBRISTOL ?
· Don’t run if you have not trained or have been ill.
· If you plan to take part in the Bristol 10k you should have completed a minimum of 10 weeks training and preparation. If you are not fit to run – either because you have not prepared sufficiently or are ill, you will not manage the Bristol 10k in safety or enjoy it, so please do not attempt to run. It is unfair to you, your family and the event staff to risk being a medical emergency – even if you are running for charity.
Race day planning, start times and site map
· Please allow plenty of time to arrive at the race and be aware that car parks and roads will be very busy – so you may experience delays.
· Familiarise yourself with the layout of the Event Village and Start/Finish area and the location of the coloured zone that matches your race number (white/yellow/red/green) – in addition to the maps in your Race Information pack you will find a site plan at the bottom of this page. All runners must be in the start zones by 09.15. The race will start at 09.30 but due to the high number of runners taking part, runners in the red and green zones will start at 09.45.
· There will be many temporary toilets in a number of locations around the village but expect long queues !
· A baggage store will be provided where you can leave a bag (please use the label provided in your race pack) but it may be quicker and simpler to leave your bag with a friend and arrange to meet up with them on the steps in the Ampitheatre (opposite the Harbourside bag store) after the race.
· Make sure you have filled out the information on the back of your race number.
